Flowuity wins technology partner role on R420m enterprise development programme.

A consortium of four corporate partners has selected Flowuity as the technology delivery partner for a five-year enterprise development programme aimed at township-based small businesses. The programme will reach an estimated 4,800 beneficiaries across three provinces, supported by a Flowuity-built mobile-first platform and a network of in-region facilitators. First cohort onboarding begins June 2026.

Loomvest, the Flowuity-built platform for cooperative finance, signs first DFI partner.

Loomvest, a Flowuity portfolio product launched in 2025 to digitise rotating savings and credit associations, has signed its first development finance partnership. The DFI will deploy Loomvest across an initial 60 cooperatives in the Western Cape and Gauteng. The launch follows nine months of pilot operation across 12 cooperatives.

Flowuity expands engineering practice with senior hires from London and Cape Town.

Three senior engineers join the Flowuity practice this quarter, expanding the team to 18. The new hires bring experience from Monzo, Stitch, and a Y Combinator-backed African fintech. Additional capacity is being directed at the AI & Intelligence and Programme Delivery practices, both of which have grown more than 60% year on year.

Flowuity founder delivered the closing keynote at Africa Tech Week's Johannesburg edition. The talk made the case for treating software development as a craft — senior teams, clear scope, owned IP — rather than a race to the cheapest deliverable. Flowuity moves into new Cape Town studio.

The team has relocated to a new studio in De Waterkant, Cape Town. The space accommodates the existing team and reserves capacity for projected growth through 2027. The previous Sea Point space, used since 2023, has been retained as a meeting and recording venue.
